Oxford Fire Department- Part-Time Engineers
The Citizens and community are further protected by the addition of 6 part-time engineers who are stationed at Base 1 on Oxford School Road from the hours of 8am-4pm, except on Weds. when they are at Base 2 on Hwy. 16, to handle any and all calls for service within the district. This program was started in June 2005. The department and governing board of directors seen the necessity to provide a quicker response to the citizens within the community, thus the formation of the part-time employees.
